Neuromas

If you have a burning, tingling or sharp pain between the toes this may be a neuroma. Commonly known as Morton’s neuroma, the nerves running between the bones are irritated/compressed leading to the development of the neuroma usually between 2,3,4 toes.
The most common causes are tight or unsuitable footwear and underlying biomechanical condition such as over pronated feet, otherwise known as “flat feet”.
At Hyde Park Podiatry we will assess, diagnose and discuss with you the most optimal treatment programme.
This may include modifying footwear, recommending more suitable footwear, custom made orthotic therapy and in rare, persistent cases a cortisone injection and surgery may be indicated.
